Welcome to your medical home.

Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is a team of pediatricians, dual trained internists/pediatricians, and physician extenders that care for patients of all ages. From the moment you enter our practice, you will see that we strive to provide a comfortable and supportive environment. As your primary source for medical care, we enjoy getting to know you and your families so we can provide you with the care that you need. From our office design to the quality care you receive, our focus is on you, our patient. Every member of the team is devoted to providing you medical care with skill and compassion.

Our physicians and advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) work together in teams in order to give you greater access to care. We offer same day sick visits, onsite lab services, and online access to our practice through our patient portal. We welcome new patients, both child and adults, and we accept most major insurances.

We invite you to contact us for more information about our practice and practitioners if you are looking for a doctor. If you are an existing patient, hello again! Please check back to see the latest news from our practice.

Flu Season and COVID-19: We’re Here to Care For You…

Our office is safe to visit for your appointment and your flu vaccine. As you know, we maintain a COVID-free space for our well patients. Our practice strictly adheres to the guidance of the CDC and NYS Department of Health to ensure your safety and ours. Our staff wears the necessary personal protective equipment and all patients are asked to wear masks in our office. We promote social distancing and move patients quickly through check in and out. We also have enhanced cleaning procedures between patients.

We also screen all patients and staff for fevers, symptoms and recent travel to determine how best to proceed with your care. This year’s flu season poses some unique challenges since flu symptoms and COVID symptoms can be quite similar. In order to continue seeing sick patients in our office when needed, we’ve implemented very strict infection control procedures in our office to keep our sick and well patients separated. We have an acute care suite in our office with its own dedicated exam rooms, separate staff, specific protective gear for staff to wear, and specific cleaning procedures using advanced technologies to clean rooms between patients and at the end of the day. This space was specifically created so we can continue to care for and test sick patients in person when needed without compromising the health of our well patients. When you call our office for any type of appointment, our team will let you know what kind of appointment is best for you – an appointment using our “normal” space, a telemedicine appointment, or an appointment in our acute care space.

Walk-in Hours

Please call our office first before coming in if you are ill and need to be seen to avoid the potential of unnecessarily exposing other patients and our staff to the novel coronavirus. Please be advised that we have temporarily suspended our walk-in hours until further notice. You must call for an appointment if you need to be seen so we can adequately assist you. This does not mean that we won’t see you, but we are asking for your cooperation in calling first to ensure that proper infection control and precautions are carried out. Thank you for understanding.
