Our Vision
We will strive to grow and become the pre-eminent medical practice in Southern Rensselaer County and the Capital District.
We do this by listening to our patients and our team of medical professionals in order to continually improve our processes and care delivery. We hold patient advisory councils, survey our patients, and regularly welcome feedback.
Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics welcomes new patients to our practice and values the established relationships with our current patients. Our physicians maintain board certifications in their respective specialties of internal medicine and pediatrics. We also have “Med-Peds,” or physicians who are double board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
As Pediatricians and Med-Peds, we are able to offer comprehensive medical care to the entire family, from newborns to older adults. Because we serve patients of all ages, you don’t have to leave our office when you turn 18 and you also don’t have to find a different doctor for your child when you choose to start a family. Our physicians are able to care for the whole patient as well as the whole family, from premature babies, newborns, toddlers, school-aged children, adolescents and adults. We provide a unique perspective on growth, development and preventative care for every age group.
Patient Experieince
We are committed to improving the patient experience, where you are an active part of your care. In fact, our practice partnered with Capital District Physicians Health Plan (CDPHP) to create a pilot program designed to transform care in the Capital Region. This model, called the Patient Centered Medical Home, improves access to care when needed, coordinates patient care so you experience a seamless transition between our practice and specialists or after hours offices involved in your care. We are pleased have been an early adopter of this model, and to help spread the word about the importance of putting the patient first and at the center of care.
Technology
Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is a modern day medical practice. We have implemented technology where appropriate to make care more streamlined and of higher quality and to make access to our office easier. Our providers and staff utilize a state of the art, confidential and secure electronic health record. This system assures that your medical information is in a centralized location that is immediately available when you need medical care, 24 hours a day. We also offer an online patient portal, called mycareDOT powered by FollowMyHealth, for patients to request appointments or prescription renewals, message their doctor, ask our staff a question, or keep track of appointments.
